MONO COUNTY ENFORCEMENT TEAM ARRESTS

The Mono Narcotic Enforcement Team culminated several investigations over this past week resulting in 6 search warrants in the Mammoth Lakes area and 7 arrests.

Arrests included 30 year old, Mammoth Lakes resident Michael McMahon, for sales of marijuana, and possession of over 1 pound of marijuana for sale.

Rafael Becerra, 53 year old Mammoth Lakes resident for sales and possession of pirated DVD movies.  This is a felony in California and carries very strict penalties criminally and civilly by the Motion Picture Industry.  MONET worked with the Motion Picture Industry investigators on this case.

Arturo Alcala, 20 year old Mammoth Lakes resident for conspiracy in selling cocaine along with his juvenile accomplice who was arrested for cocaine sales.

Manuel Ruelas, 39 year old Mammoth Lakes resident for sales of cocaine.

Robert Borah, 54 year old Mammoth Lakes resident for sales of prescription medications and possession of stolen property.

William Crosby, 63 year old Mammoth Lakes resident for sales of
marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale, and cultivation of
marijuana.  Mr. Crosby was the co-owner/operator of Mammoth420.com and is
alleged to have been operating outside the State's Medical Marijuana
laws.

All of the above individuals were booked into the Mono County Jail with the exception of the Juvenile, who was transported to Juvenile Hall.  Four of the undocumented citizen’s are also being held by the Department of Homeland Security/Immigration Customs Enforcement.
